About Us

Kristen Pirwitz, founder of Yellow Dog College Consulting, has worked in education for 25 years and has been a high school counselor for over 20 years.  She is currently an academic and college counselor at Westlake High School in Austin, Texas*.  She has extensive experience with college advising and has visited numerous college campuses.  She also has experience working with students with learning disabilities.

Consultants will provide affordable, comprehensive, and personalized college advising for high school students.  Applying to college does not have to be stressful, and we will aid students in managing all aspects of the college application (and there are a lot).  We will work in conjunction with the services the student's high school counseling office offers.

We will provide extremely thorough and comprehensive support through emails, text messages, shared documents, videos, phone calls, and Zoom or in-person (if local) meetings.   We will work with students in a manner that best fits their needs.  You can view a list of services at the link.
